Giving Tuesday

Thursday November 24 is Thanksgiving. The next day is Black Friday where we all go out and fight people to save $50 on a T.V. Saturday November 26 is Small Business Saturday where we encourage people to support their local businesses after spending all day Friday standing in line at giant retailers. Then comes Cyber Monday, where everyone hunts for the best online deals. But the day we are excited about at Pathways is Tuesday November 29.
Giving Tuesday is the day we have set aside after a long weekend focused on profits to encourage people to donate to local charities. But you do not have to wait until Giving Tuesday to start giving and supporting our mission. If you support Pathways and the work we do here, there are several things you can do to give between now and Giving Tuesday.
1) Donate. Donating to Pathways is as easy as going to our website and clicking “Donate.” https://www.pathways-va.org/
2) Sign up for Amazon Smile before Cyber Monday. When you sign up for Amazon Smile and set Pathways as your charity of choice, Amazon will donate 0.5% of what you spend to Pathways. It does not cost you anything extra. Go to smile.amazon.com to sign up. When selecting your charity of choice, in the search box type in “Pathways Petersburg.” We should be the first charity to come up. Click “select” and every time you login and shop with Amazon, Pathways will receive a donation. Learn more by clicking here, smile.amazon.com.
3) Sign up for Kroger Community Rewards. Before you begin your shopping for your Thanksgiving meal, sign up for Kroger Community Rewards. Set up your account at Kroger Community Rewards and select Pathways (#85261) as the non-profit you are supporting. Every time you shop and swipe your Plus Card, you are helping Pathway. https://www.kroger.com/i/community/community-rewards
4) Share this blog with your friends. One of the best ways you can help Pathways is by spreading the word. Let your friends and family know what we do and how they can help and support the mission as well.
