Fiscal Manager

Pathways-VA, Inc. is seeking candidates to serve a part-time Fiscal Manager for its administrative needs. The Fiscal Manager works on accounts payable and receivable, monitors and manages company financial accounts, handles human resources requirements including payroll and insurance, completes financial reports. The Fiscal Manager also works with Pathways’ CEO on budgeting, planning, and compliance.

 

Minimum qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree, QuickBooks competency, 1 years’ experience managing payroll, mastery of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, good oral and written communication skills, and love of teamwork.

 

Preferred qualifications: A minimum of two years of experience working in non-profit accounting, reporting, and funds management.

Chief Financial Officer

Pathways-VA, Inc. is seeking candidates to serve as Chief Financial Officer.  Pathways is a 501c3 non-profit community development corporation with CFO duties including developing and managing organizational budgets, tracking and reporting for multiple sources of federal, state, local and private funding, audit preparation and compliance, and other related tasks.

Minimum qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree, mastery in QuickBooks or equivalent accounting software, fluency of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, professional communication skills, and love of teamwork.

 

Preferred qualifications: A minimum of five years of experience working in fiscal management, particularly in the non-profit sector and a working knowledge of federal accounting regulations.

Academic Instructor

Pathways-VA, Inc. is seeking candidates to serve a full-time Academic Instructor for its youth/young adult workforce development, leadership and education programs. Programs focus on youth ages 17-24 that are out of school and looking to gain skills in job training, leadership, and academics. Responsibilities include coordination of academic program using a hybrid model of in class and online learning, individual and group instruction in High School Diploma and GED preparation, development of Individual Learning Plans (ILPs), remedial instruction, and college preparation. Subjects will include both mathematics and language arts and will include coordination with vocational instructors for educational integration and project-based learning.

 

Minimum qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree, experience facilitating online instruction, mastery of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, good oral and written communication skills, excellent classroom management skills, drivers’ license with good driving record, and love of teamwork.

 

Preferred qualifications: A minimum of two years of experience working with individuals in remedial, alternative, adult education or specialized programs; and a background in Special Education.

Financial Coach

Pathways-VA, Inc. is seeking candidates to serve as our Financial Coach for its financial opportunity center. The Financial Coach works with clients in the opportunity center to help them move toward personal financial stability. This work includes efforts in financial crisis management, financial planning, long-term planning, tax preparation, and assistance navigating the public benefits system.

 

Minimum qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree, competency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, good oral and written communication skills, and love of teamwork.

 

Preferred qualifications: A minimum of two years of experience working in financial coaching and/or counseling, tax preparation assistance, and benefits navigation.

Case Manager

Pathways-VA, Inc. is seeking candidates to serve as a Case Manager. 

 

Pathways, a not-for-profit, faith-based community development corporation in Petersburg, Virginia, is seeking a full-time Case Manager for its youth/young adult workforce development, leadership and education programs. Programs focus on youth ages 16-24 that are out-of-school and in-school youth seeking to gain skills in job training, leadership, and academics. Responsibilities include conducting participant assessments, connecting participants with available services based upon assessment, assist participants in developing individual life plans, developing and connecting participants with work experience opportunities, and tracking and reporting.

Minimum qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree, experience developing and facilitating online instruction, mastery of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, good oral and written communication skills, excellent classroom management skills, drivers’ license with good driving record, and love of teamwork.

 

Preferred qualifications:  MSW, LCSW, or equivalent; a minimum of two years of experience working with youth in education and/or workforce development.

Construction

Trainer

Pathways-VA, Inc. is seeking candidates to serve as a Construction Trainer. 

 

Pathways is a 501c3 non-profit community development corporation operating workforce development programs. Duties include vocational instruction and residential construction coordination, hands-on instruction in a variety of job specific activities, occupational certification testing, and other related organizational tasks.

​

Minimum qualifications: three years’ experience in construction, logistics, materials handling, or related occupation; ability to work with Microsoft Word, Teams, and Excel; professional communication skills, and love of teamwork.

 

Preferred qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree; experience in teaching or other instructional setting and/or certification in OSHA, National Center for Construction Education and Research.
