Nurse Practitioner

Pathways, a not-for-profit, faith-based community organization in Petersburg, Virginia, is seeking a Nurse Practitioner for its Free Specialty Clinic. The position will include program design and planning, assessments, treatment, referrals, and coordination of care in a community setting. The position will include work with young adults and families in our clinics as well as our community health outreach projects.

Qualification requirements:

• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, management, and written and verbal communication skills
• Understanding of diverse community health issues
• Community setting experience a plus
• Family Nurse Practitioner preferred
• Self-Starter
• Experience working collaboratively in a diverse team setting
• Mastery of Microsoft Office including Word and Excel

This is a full time salaried position with flexible hours and paid leave benefits.

Additional training in mental health will be available.

Construction Trainer

Pathways, a not-for-profit, faith-based community organization in Petersburg, Virginia, is seeking a full-time Construction Trainer for its youth/young adult leadership, education, and career development programs. Programs focus on youth ages 17-24 and include juvenile offenders and out-of-school youth. Responsibilities include individual and group instruction in both seat-time and experiential setting that leads to the construction/rehabilitation of single-family homes. Ability to incorporate math skills training with vocational skills training using project based learning required.

Qualification requirements:

• Mastery of Microsoft Office including Word and Excel
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Excellent classroom management skills
• Functional mathematical skills
• Driver’s license with a good driving record
• Five years hands-on construction experience
• Bachelor's Degree is preferred
• Must be able to pass a State background check
• A minimum of two years experience working with individuals in remedial, alternative, adult education or specialized programs is preferred

Math Instructor

Pathways, a not-for-profit, faith-based organization in Petersburg, Virginia, is seeking a full-time Math Instructor for its youth/young adult leadership, education, and career development programs. Programs focus on youth ages 17-24 and include juvenile offenders and out-of-school youth. Responsibilities include coordination of academic program, individual and group instruction toward a HSD, development of ILPs, remedial instruction, and college preparation. Subjects will include both mathematics and language arts and coordination with vocational instructors for educational integration and project based learning.

Qualification requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree
• Mastery of Microsoft Office including Word and Excel
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Excellent classroom management skills
• Drivers' license with good driving record
• A minimum of two years experience working with individuals in remedial, alternative, adult education or specialized programs is preferred
• Love of teamwork

VISTA Technology Project Leader

Pathways, a not-for-profit, faith-based community development corporation in Petersburg, Virginia, is seeking a full-time Technology Project Leader to develop technology capacity by addressing program needs effectively and efficiently and improve outcomes. Duties will also include research to create technology career pathways for students. This is a year-long VISTA position with a living allowance, education award, and training opportunities.

Qualification requirements:

• College Degree
• Experience with Microsoft Office including Word and Excel
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Drivers' license with good driving record
• Love of teamwork

Preference given to candidates with social media, marketing, technological experience.
